What is Actifresh?
Actifresh is a chemical component -composed mainly of cyclodextrin- that is added to various safety and industrial clothing to prevent the excess growth and development of bacteria and fungi. This prevention of excess- if you will- enables garments to resist odor that is caused from internal and external environmental factors; such as sweating and people smoking around you.
How does Actifresh work?
In the most basic sense the actifresh traps bacteria in a barrier type fashion, and prevents the bacteria from readily multiplying.
What happens if I wash an Garment with Actifresh on it?
That's the beauty of this particular compound, when you wash most garments, it essentially "recharges" the article allowing, it to trap more bacteria- as the old is washed away.
