Should I Use Safety Toes? |

Occupational foot protection is required for all workers who are exposed to hazards such as falling objects and punctures from below that could injure the sole.
In the United States, the applicable standard for protective footwear is ASTM standards F 2412-05, Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection and ASTMF 2413-05, Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Foot Protection. OSHA requires compliance of ANSI Z41.1-1991, "American National Standard for Personal Protection-Protective Footwear.”
Safety toes are a simple solution. They fit comfortably over soft-toed shoes, and can be reused and passed from person to person without hygiene issues.
Wilkuro brand safety toes are the original product of this type. Each pair is made from quality steel and durable PVC, and can accommodate most types of low-heeled footwear. They are compact, easy-to-store, and are a great alternative to steel toe shoes.
Wilkuro Safety Toes are accepted by OSHA and are tested to the ASTM 2413-05 Performance Requirements, passing ANSI Class I-75 Impact, Class C-75 compression.
Sometimes a job site will require steel toe shoe caps be worn, even for visitors or temporary workers. Since it would be largely inconvenient (and costly) to supply all of these people with steel toe shoes, safety toes are an excellent choice for foot protection.
