Our sales representatives are responsible for continually generating new business in a designated territory. General Definition and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the purchasing and maintenance of all inventories, procurement of inventory at competitive pricing along with acceptable terms and delivery dates to ensure exceptional customer service. This position consists of analyzing, planning, and managing inventory levels to ensure that adequate items are kept in house to accommodate customers. The inventory manager is also responsible for making sure items are not overstocked and that stock is being used efficiently and is not outdated. This job involves working with the office staff and sales team to ensure the correct items are being ordered and in stock when needed.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Analyze, plan, and manage inventory levels to ensure exceptional customer service levels
- Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors
- Negotiate pricing and source inventory items, both existing and new (e.g. better pricing, better lead times, alternative products and substitutions)
- Introduction of new products
- Work with the sales team to plan and forecast future inventory requirements and to assist with new items as needed
- Work with the warehouse staff to ensure delivery of inventory items are in a timely manner
- Expediting: Follow-up on purchase orders and sales orders. Make sure purchase orders ore received at the vendor and get shipping and back-ordered information.
- Keep a continual log to advise office of what is coming in each morning so that delivery routes can be determined accurately.

Must have the ability to work with numbers and understand economical methods
Proficiency with computers – experience with NetSuite is a plus

Responsibilities
- Process orders and inquiries while providing commercial and technical support
Provide communication link between customers and other company departments for order completion
- Perform all customer service related tasks: quotations, order entry, shipping instructions
- Obtain and instruct details for packaging and shipping
- Be responsible for proactive outbound prospecting and networking activities (lead generation)
- Provide administrative support for company sales reps
- Research involving the collecting and organizing of regional data on potential clients and competitors
- Handle customer calls (inbound and outbound) for inquiries, sales, customer service
